Erika Thorpe is a visual artist based in San Diego. Her work employs a variety of media from traditional drawing and painting to experimental montage using photography and other materials. She has exhibited in several venues throughout San Diego, and is currently a member of the local artist collective: lunacolab. She received her B.A. in Fine Art with a painting emphasis at San Diego State University, her A.S. in Multimedia at San Diego Mesa College and also studied Illustration at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco through their online program. Aside from Fine Art, Erika also does freelance commercial illustration and design for both web and print, targeting creative professionals who seek an edgier, more artistic presentation.
