Mango Macaws

inspired by a dream I had…

I am walking out of a forest to the edge of a lake that seems to blur in and out of focus. Before me is this strangely shaped tree with reptilian roots and branches teeming with large mangoes. Up on the tips of branches much too delicate to support them are a couple of enormous brightly colored macaws. The macaws seem to be growing larger and larger, dwarfing the tree and defying perspective.

After launching Üka, my small accessory company, I invested in a small screen printing system and have begun creating T-shirts from my artwork. These were my first 2 designs. More to come soon. All prints are created using eco-friendly water-based inks. These and other designs (when available) can be purchased in my etsy store.

As I browse through some of my artwork I find it interesting how certain characters tend to reappear. Enter the top-hatted circus man and the ponytailed girl. Who are these oddball characters and why do they keep cajoling me into their curious world? They are clearly in cahoots with one another.
